Accra Basketball League’s (ABL) Men’s Division II games will resume in July following an extended break. The first round of the second tier of Ghana’s major basketball league was completed a fortnight ago leading officials to call a break on the league.
The break is to enable league management sort out issues that remained unsolved during the first round and offer players rest. In what has been an exciting season thus far, Adenta Leopards looks odds on favorites to win the division and book a spot in Division I next season.
The side is yet to lose a game in four games played in the first round registering the best point difference in the process. Leopards has conceded the least points (159) but scored the most points (222) to pace all teams in the division.
On the other hand, Galaxy could be staring at another year in the lower ranks should they fail to win games in the second round. The team is yet to win a game this season and sits at the base of the five team league.
Junior Reformers of Prisons lie second on the table and are heavily tipped to join Leopards in Division I.
