Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry sacrificed his body in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals when he dove head-first into the crowd to save a loose ball. The fans at Oracle Arena didn’t catch Curry so he became a falling star, crashing into seats and eventually the ground.
Curry was fine after the fall, and preceded to catch fire in the third quarter to lead the Warriors to victory, tying the series up 1-1. Throughout the course of Game 2 his elbow began to swell up, and by the final buzzer, it looked like there was a small tennis ball growing out of it. Curry said he was fine after Game 2, and Warriors coach Steve Kerr said the same thing to reporters on Friday.
Curry did a wear a shooting sleeve on Friday while practicing to protect his elbow
It remains to be seen if Curry will wear a sleeve in Game 3, which takes place in Oklahoma City on Sunday. Sleeve or no sleeve, Curry will be playing in Game 3 though as the Warriors look to go up 2-1 in the series.
