Ace Ghanaian Musician and Sound Engineer Paul Nuamah Donkor popularly known as Jayso has called for support for basketball because the quality of talent is very high in the country.
The versatile frontman of Skillion Records made the statement after watching from Adenta Leopards’ bench as the side recorded a 43-28 win over Tema Youth in the ongoing Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II.
“There are very very promising players, players who are good enough to be in other major leagues around the world.
I think it needs more support. I think basketball needs more support and I am here to support”.
Jayso has been with Leopards since the start of the 2016 ABL season and was on hand to see Adenta extend its’ winning start to two games. Prior to the second round game against Tema Youth, the team had piped Junior Reformers 68-65 in overtime in the opening round.
His attachment to the Leopards comes in the wake of Actor John Dumelo’s takeover of the Korle-Bu Kings during the team’s tenure in the inaugural Rush Community Basketball Tournament late last year.
With two wins from two games, Adenta remains the only unbeaten side in the Division II and places them in the right spot for qualification to the upper tier.
