Speaking to Basketballghana.com shortly after arriving at the team’s base in Takoradi, Ankrah admitted he wasn’t disappointed with the performance and achievement of the team in the competition. He said:

“Placing fourth, to us is not abysmal, considering the competitive nature of the competition and the fact that teams were separated by just one to three points in the third place and final matches”.

However, he was confident in his team’s ability to show progress in future competitions saying, “We shall come back next year well prepared.”

Takoradi Polytechnic topped in Zone E and Group B in preliminary qualifiers and quarter finals before losing 41-55 to defending champions Accra Polytechnic in the semi finals. The team’s loss to KNUST was the second in the competition following a 42-47 loss in the quarter finals.
