Registrar of Blue Crest College Sujith Jayaprakash says his team will not be pushovers in their debut appearance in the UPAC Basketball Championship.
Blue Crest College, based at Kokomlemle – a suburb of Ghana’s capital Accra, will participate in the prestigious championship for the first time.
The highly-rated University have their work cut out for them to make a significant impression after being drawn against two-time champions Accra Polytechnic as well as Zenith University College and Valley View University.
It appears a daunting task for the debutants but Blue Crest College debutant Sujith Jayaprakash is defiant about his team’s chances.
“Blue Crest College is unfazed by the task ahead. For us participating is key and not just about winning,” he told BASKETBALLghana.com
“We believe in excellence and we’ll thrive to get to the top.
“We have absolute respect for our opponents but we’re not afraid of them. We are going to give it our best shot and see what happens.”
The 2016 UPAC Championship is supported by MTN, Fanyogo and CAL Bank in partnership with Basketballghana.com, TV3, Y FM and Ghana Sports Newspaper.
