Central University College Coach Sidney Larbie was not too impressed with his side’s display in a 26-13 win over Blue Crest College at the 2016 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship warm up games.
The games forms part of activities to whip up interest in the upcoming Championship which is set to begin on March 5 at the University of Ghana. The Championship is headlined by Rexona.
Speaking to Basketballghana.com, Larbie, who had earlier won the coaches three-point shooting contest, was not too worried about proceedings on the day.
“ It wasn’t exceptional but there is room for improvement, We play better than this so in the main tournament we are going to play better. We are definitely going to the final whoever is coming up against us beware because we are definitely going to the final.”
Asked on what worked well for his team, he said:
“Our defense, we were talking on defense, we were selfless with the ball.”
Central University College play Marshalls University College, University of Ghana and Wisconsin University College come March 8 in Zone G.
