Ho Polytechnic is ready for the Universities, Polytedchnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship challenge according to team leader Sedem Tettevi. The 2016 UPAC Championship is headlined by Rexona and will take place between March 5 and April 16.
The soft spoken former Keta Senior High School standout and 2014 Sprite Ball winner made the comment in an interview with Basketballghana.com at the launch of the Championship in Accra on February 25.
“We thank God everything went well and now the draw has been made, we know the teams that we are going to play so we are preparing for that” he said.
He went ahead to deny his side’s absence in warm up games scheduled to take place over the weekend will affect them.
“No it won’t affect our chances at all because previously we have not been playing warm up games but our performances have been commendable”.
“Sure we will do so”Sedem said when asked whether his team will be able to qualify out of the zone.
Ho Polytechnic will play Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), University of Professional Studies (UPSA) and Ghana Technology University College (Accra) in Zone A. Ho Polytechnic lost to UPSA and GIMPA respectively in last year’s edition.
