Accra Polytechnic Head of Sports and Recreation Princeworth Anane-Asare says he will not fail at the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Tournament slated to take place between March 5 and April 16.

The third edition of the Championship is headlined by renowned deodorant brand Rexona and will feature 28 tertiary institutions compete for Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball trophy.

The tough talking veteran administrator made the comment in an interview with Basketballghana.com ahead of the tournament. He said:

“I am not going to fail. Failure is not my style. I am a man of the positive. I don’t fail because I think and plan ahead so even within the short time for training, we are psyching the students up to give their best out.”

Accra Polytechnic has won the past editions of UPAC and will seek a third consecutive title in this year’s competition. The team will have a chance to gauge its’ strength ahead of the main event when it takes on Marshalls University College and other institutions on Friday February 26 in warm up games.

The team will play against Valley View University, Zenith University College and Blue Crest College in Zone F in the main tournament on April 1.
