Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) ex-basketball team coach Clement Adu-Gyamfi is in high spirit ahead of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
The third edition of the championship will be headlined by world best-selling deodorant brand Rexona and will feature 28 tertiary institutions compete for Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball trophy.
Speaking to Basketballghana.com just hours before the official launch of the Championship, the charismatic head said:
“I must commend organizers of this event, Rite Sports and their sponsors because last year we experienced a very good game and I hope this we are going to experience a better tournament.”
“Unfortunately we couldn’t make it to the main event. Last year the preparation wasn’t much we couldn’t get enough time to prepare… but this year expect nothing but the best from GIMPA.”
GIMPA will play in Zone A against University of Professional Studies, Ho Polytechnic and Ghana Technology University College.
The 2016 UPAC Basketball Championship is sponsored by Rexona and supported by CAL Bank, Fanyogo and MTN in partnership with media outlets including TV3, Y FM and Basketballghana.com and Ghana Sports.
