Blue Crest College basketball team trainer Kofi Agyeman Kwarteng (Right) is confident his side can spring a surprise in the upcoming Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
The third edition of the 10 week-long event is headlined by world best selling deodorant brand Rexona and will take place between March 5 and April 16. In all 28 tertiary institutions will compete for a shot at annexing Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball trophy.
Speaking to Basketballghana.com after a technical meeting held recently to address key issues heading into the tournament , the affable tactical head was confident of his sides chances of qualifying from the preliminary stage.
“We will manage our way through. We will have a game plan and make sure we excel. Am sure we will surprise our opponents”he said.
Blue Crest College face a daunting task as they seek to qualify out Greater Accra’s Zone F ahead of two time and defending champions Accra Polytechnic, Zenith University College and Valley View University.
Group winners will automatically qualify for the quarter final but the second placed team with the best point differential through Zones A,F and G will qualify to complete the list of quarter finalists.
