Fan Milk Limited (Ghana) producer of Fanyogo will sponsor the 2016 edition of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship which is set to take place from March 5-April 16.
The 10 week-long event, headlined by world’s best-selling deodorant brand Rexona, is scheduled to have 28 tertiary institutions compete against each other for a chance to annex the ultimate trophy in tertiary basketball.
The award-winning manufacturer and retailer of ice cream and frozen dairy products agreed to partner with tournament organizers Rite Sports Limited to create basketball history in the third edition of the tournament come March.
The company becomes the latest to join a group of distinguished corporate organizations associated with the UPAC Championship including telecommunications giant MTN and premier financial institution, CAL Bank.
The UPAC Championship started in 2011 and brings together all tertiary institutions to compete under one umbrella event contrary to respective tournaments which are tailored to specific sects of institutions.
The 2016 UPAC Basketball Championship is sponsored by Rexona and supported by CAL Bank and MTN in partnership with media outlets including TV3, Y FM and Basketballghana.com and Graphic Sports.
