Cal Bank will officially partner the 2016 edition of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship which is scheduled to take place between March 5 and April 16.

The premier financial institution becomes the latest of a growing number of corporate entities to join the best and biggest tournament in Ghana’s tertiary rank.

Cal Bank’s partnership with Rite Sports-organizer of the event- comes at a time when the fast growing influence of basketball in the country has made it necessary for substantial investments to be committed to the sport.

Having a splendid track record of partnering burgeoning sports disciplines like beach soccer in the country, Cal Bank is set to devote a substantial amount of funds to oversee UPAC’s continued success.
Since its’ formation in 1990, CAL is regarded as the most innovative customer-oriented bank in Ghana that delivers excellent and efficient services to it’s customers.

A-poly

Originally known as Universities and Colleges Basketball Championship, UPAC was created to extend basketball’s growing stature in Ghana to tertiary institutions back in 2011.

Accra Polytechnic will be in contention for a third straight title after winning the past two editions including last year’s 57-40 win over Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
