ProvidenceProvidence College Forward Ben Bentil played 14 minutes in his team’s 70-77 loss to DePaul University earlier today after hurting his right ankle.

Without the 6 foot 9inch Ghanaian in the front court, the Friars got out rebounded 42-22 by the Blue Demons and had to deal with a bad shooting night from fourth year Guard Kris Dunn who converted just five of 20 attempted shots.

Bentil got injured when battling for the ball 10 minutes into the game. He limped off the court but returned to play four more minutes on his way to recording six points and two blocks.

Providence coach Ed Cooley praised Bentil’s effort but wasn’t sure how his injury would pan out.

“He tried to give it a go, so I give him a lot of credit but he couldn’t go. It was sore, swollen. Hope for the best and see what happens.”
