Temple University Center Ernest Aflakpui started in consecutive games for the first time this season in Temple’s 70-63 win over University of South Florida (USF) in Florida on Sunday.

The win gives “The Owls” a fourth win in five games as they snapped USF’s two game winning streak to improve their record to 12 wins and 8 losses.

The 6 foot 10 inch Ghanaian Center paired with second year Power Forward Obi Enechionyia in Temple’s front court.

However, the first year defender endured a torrid time as he got into early foul trouble on his way to recording just a single offensive rebound and a turnover in 11 minutes.

Senior year Guard Quenton DeCosey’s career high 30 points shored up Temple’s inferior work on the glass as they got out rebounded 23-35.

The Owls will play at Tulsa Golden Hurricanes on Friday February 5.
