Osu Hawks Guard Emmanuel Dickson has received products from sportwear company Adidas for winning the Most Valuable Player Award at the Rush Community Basketball Tournament.
The second top scorer for the winning Hawks side saw off stern competition from a packed field had household names including 2015 national player of the year Abdul Mutaleb Alhassan and McMartey Lawer to be voted the tournament’s best player.
When contacted by Basketballghana.com after picking up his prize, the Hawks leader said:
“It’s always a humble experience because a lot of great talent and I get to be chosen as the MVP, I’m grateful to my fans.”
“I love playing the game of basketball because anytime I play I have this joy within me and I feel very free to play out my heart anytime I play basketball”.
He thanked tournament organizer GameTime Entertainment and sponsors for a wonderful tournament.
“I will like to thank the sponsors and organisers of the tournament specifically Rush Energy drink, Adidas and Huawei for the prize they gave me as the MVP.”
Dickson who doubles as a Police Officer received assorted items from Adidas worth 1000 Ghana Cedis.
