Accra Academy coach Curlsbonny Joshua Owusu has bemoaned his team’s absymal performance in the just ended 2016 Sprite Ball Championship.
The tough talking coach’s side registered just 12 points but conceded 68 total points in three group games and registered no wins in the tournament.
“Accra Academy’s performance was lack of good preparation towards the championship but performance was below my expectations despite the poor preparation” he said.
He went ahead to note the step up in competition from the zonal qulifiers and the national games.
“There is a big difference between zonal and almighty sprite championship.
He continued, “First time with Accra Academy in this championship got my boys tensed up”
However, coach Curls was hopeful his outfit will be totally transformed for next year’s championship.
“Expect something different from the “Ble3oo” team next year”.
Accra Academy exited the 2016 Sprite Ball Championship in the group stages losing to Mawuli Senior High School, Mfantsipim and Koforidua Secondary Technical School.
