Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School basketball team coach Ernest “Oxy”Koomson has hailed the just ended 2016 Sprite Ball Tournament which had Aggrey Memorial Mount Zion School emerge winners.

The Cape Coast-based technical head was impressed with the overall input and organization skills of tournament organizer Rite Sports Limited.

“Was a very good tournament held and I congratulate the organizers, the various teams and everyone who together helped make this happen” he said.

“We couldn’t make it to the final and its a disappointment I must say the games got so physical and you know my girls were caught in several unnecessary fouls and that really caused us” the young coach said when asked by Basketballghana.com on his team’s early exit from the tournament.

“I congratulate Aggrey Memorial School for lifting the trophy but we shall come back God willing next year and will lift the trophy” last year’s bronze medal winning coach further added.

The tenth edition of Sprite Ball also had St. Augustine’s College emerge as champions in the boys’ division.
