Kumasi Girls High School basketball coach Joyce Boatey-Agyei has rebuffed the ‘underdog’ tag her team has been labeled heading into the 2016 Sprite Ball Championship set to take place at El-Wak Stadium in Accra.
The shrewd head trainer, in an interview with Basketballghana.com stated her outfit’s preparedness for Ghana’s biggest basketball tournament.
“With hard work and resilience, the girls have been able to make it to the finals of the 2016 edition of the Sprite Ball Championship” she said.
“We are advising our opponents not to underrate us in order not to experience a shock of a lifetime, we are in to surprise”.
Kumasi Girls are in Group C with Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School, Awudome Senior High School and Tema Senior High School.
The 2016 Sprite Ball Championship games will take place between January 5-7.
