‘Prep to Pros’, a pickup basketball series of games organized by DC Dynamics was successfully held at May’s Educational Center in South Odorkor Estates, Dansoman.
The programme is an annual event that brings together the best basketball players from high schools and tertiary schools to compete in games and celebrate refined skills from many of Ghana’s talented youth.
This year’s edition was run under the theme “for the younger ballers in the country” and had a lot of young players turn up.
Coach Feranmi Olulonyo, administrator of the event was highly impressed with the turnout and enthusiasm showed by players and fans.
Speaking to Basketballghana.com, the young coach also acknlowedged the quality of play exhibited by the players.
“We had some pretty good kids” he said.
The second phase of the event, dubbed Bobbito Garcia’s “full court 21” which is a new basketball tournament concept featuring multiple defenders guarding whichever player has the ball, will be held next.
DC Dynamics is a Dansoman-based basketball programme that uses sports particularly basketball as a tool to motivate and empower Ghanaian youth to lead positive lives.
