Eastern Region Physical Education Coordinator Michael Okoto has challenged Koforidua Secondary Technical School to win next year’s Sprite Ball Championship.
The regional coordinator made the call at the school’s premises when they hosted the Sprite Ball Trophy Tour entourage.
The 2016 Sprite Ball Championship will take place between January 3 -7, 2016 at El-Wak Stadium in Ghana’s capital, Accra. The championship is set to have 26 schools compete for the biggest trophy in Ghana basketball.
Addressing students and school authorities on the eastern leg of the trophy tour, Mr. Okoto offered words of encouragement to the playing body and urged them to strive for greater achievements in the competition.
“This year I am challenging them, I want them to bring the trophy back to the Eastern Region” he said.
Assistant Headmaster Hawkson Arthur further added “the school had no excuse to lose the trophy”.
K.S.T.S. and Pope John Senior High School and Junior Seminary will represent the Eastern Region in the boys’ division whereas Nkawkaw Senior High School will represent the region in the girl’s division.
