Keta Senior High School missed out on making an appearance in the upcoming Sprite Ball Championship set to take place between January 3-7, 2016 at El-Wak Stadium in Accra, Ghana.
The school, after failing to make it out of the Volta Region for an automatic qualification, came up short in a poll organized to allow the general public select schools for the four day basketball extravaganza.
The 2014 national champions came up short with 29,662 total votes which put them behind Central regional contender Adisadel College’s 31,149 votes.
Adisadel College will join St. Augustine’s College, Aggrey Memorial Mount Zion School’s male basketball team and defending champions Mfantsipim School as Central Region representatives in the boys’ category.
Mawuli Senior High School and debutants Kadjebi Asato will represent the Volta Region at Keta’s expense.
Sprite Ball Championship is an annual inter-High Schools basketball tournament in Ghana that is responsible for unearthing and developing many of Ghana’s brimming basketball talents.
