The 2016 Sprite Ball championship is gradually edging its way to the January 3 commencement date. The four day basketball extravaganza will have qualified senior high schools compete against each other at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra.
As part of activities to broaden awareness, organizers of the event, Rite Sports will embark on a trophy tour in select schools. The tour starts in the Greater Accra Region before touching base at qualified schools from other regions.
During the tour, school heads, teachers,coaches and players will have the chance to share their thoughts on the championship and how they plan to capture the national trophy.
They will also get the opportunity to take pictures with the coveted trophy.
Labone Senior High School, Accra Wesley Girls’ Senior High School and Accra Academy will be the first to get a feel of the biggest basketball silverware in Ghana.
Accra Wesley Girls’ and Accra Academy will represent the Greater Accra Region in next year’s championship with St. Mary’s Girls’ Senior High, St. Thomas Acquinas and Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon).
