Accra Polytechnic have earned nomination for the ‘Best School Sports Contributor’ at this year’s 2015 Ghana Excellence Awards following an explosive season.
The country’s Premier Polytechnic was the most dominant force in the game in 2015 where they won multiple titles.
The Accra-based side cemented their status as the finest basketball
team at the tertiary level after winning the GHAPSA, UPAC and WAPOGA Basketball Championships.
The team capped an incredible year by dominating award winners during the second edition of the Ghana Basketball Awards held in October this year.
It’s been an exciting and successful year for Accra Polytechnic with their swash-buckling successes going unnoticed.
The school must fend off competition from Dynamite Energy Drink, Sprite and DPS International School to win the Best School Sports Contributor in the year under review.
Former Ghana President John Kuffour and current Vice President Pa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur who have been nominated look set to grace the occasion.
The Ghana Sports Excellence Awards established in 2014 by Hallmark Plus Multimedia, are awarded annually to sports people who have been outstanding during the year under review.
