BC Mures Targu-Mures (Liga Nationala) strengthened their roster with addition of 34-year old Ghanaian guard Alhaji Mohammed. He already started the season at Sigal Prishtina in the Kosovan SuperLeague. Mohammed managed to play in three leagues this year
He is the brother of former NBA Center Nazr Mohammed who retired this year after 17 seasons in the league.
In four SuperLeague games he recorded 9.3ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.5apg. He also played 3 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he averaged 4.3ppg, 1.0rpg, 2.3apg and 1.0spg. Mohammed also played 2 games in Balkan League where he averaged 12.0ppg, 4.0rpg and 2.0spg.
He ended the last season at Sluc Nancy (ProA) in French league. In 5 games he averaged 8.8ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.8apg. But the most of that year Mohammed spent at CSU Asesoft Ploiesti. In 11 Liga Nationala games he averaged 13.2ppg, 3.8rpg, 3.5apg and 1.5spg.
He also played 16 games in Eurocup where he averaged 11.3ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.4apg and 1.3spg.
Among other achievements Mohammed won Romanian League championship title for two years in a row (2013 and 2014).
He received also Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Guard of the Year award in 2014.
Mohammed is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Germany (Finke Baskets), Holland (M.Magixx), Iran (Kashan), Kuwait (Al Kuwait), Spain (Blancos de Rueda and Lleida Basquet) and D-League (Idaho Stampede).
Mohammed attended University of Louisville until 2004 and it is his twelfth season in pro basketball.
