After an exciting ten-weeks, Stephen Akpaloo emerged the winner of the maiden edition of the Jump Ball quiz competition last Sunday.
Akpaloo, a final year student of the University of Ghana stole the limelight and broke the resolve of his closest challenger Bawa Nii Adjei to emerge victorious in a highly educative and entertaining basketball quiz competition on TV3’s Fast Break.
The two finalists went at each other for the second successive week after their earlier meeting ended in a stalemate.
It was a show of deep-seated knowledge and brilliance and the two fine gentlemen locked horns and showcased their wits and brain power in the maiden edition of the historic basketball quiz competition on national television.
With presenters Dyllis and Sadella throwing the hard punchy questions, it was always going to be a close contest between two individuals who have excelled heavily since the start of the competition.
Akpaloo stole the march of his rival by bagging 66 points, 12 more than Nii Adjei who ended the session with 54 points.
Scores of fans trooped to the studio to support their respective contestants in a contest which was end-to-end action right from the start of the competition.
In attendance was the chairman of the Ghana Basketball Association, David Addo-Ashong, who was left impressed with the performance of the two finalists.
In a massive show of camaraderie, the winner took home GH C1,000 while first runner up went home with GH C500 with the second runner up raking in GH C250.
