Zenith University College sealed qualification for the 2015 UPAC finals after famous victories over University of Ghana and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) on Sunday.
The playoff contest saw Zenith manage surprised narrow wins over both teams at the University of Ghana centre court.
Zenith, current PUSAG champions were never incredulous by the home fans and gave it their all in a daunting game, recording 34-33 win over University of Ghana in their opener.
They followed it up with another fabulous display against GIMPA and ensured passage with a slim 24-23 win over their much touted opponent.
A late surge by GIMPA, who had trailed by 10 points in the last quarter, was not enough to hand them the much needed push as they bowed out in disappointments.
Experienced trio Kwame Boamah, Jake Morrison and McMartey Lawer could not save the situation as they crushed out of the competition.
Zenith now replaces University of Development Studies who will not turn up for the finals over internal challenges.
They will play Accra Polytechnic, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and Takoradi Polytechnic in group B.
