Accra Polytechnic power forward, Romeo Wilfried Enan insists his teammates are more motivated to retain their UPAC Basketball Championship title this season.
The defending champions strolled to the final after a routine win over Zenith University College during the Greater Accra zone two qualifiers over the weekend.
They posted back-to-back wins over the opponent with Wilfred Enan at the centre of an enthralling and eye-catching performance in front of their home fans.
Even without impressive duo Baniba Dodzie and Daniel Aryee, Accra Poly came to the party with some sweet, attacking flair that caught on well with their home fans.
Romeo, who also plays for Braves of CEPS, has been crucial for the champions, no doubt about it and he reckons his teammates are primed to retain their crown.
“We are ready to retain our title. I must admits that it will not be a stroll in the park for us but we have the men to do just that,” he told BASKETBALLghana.com
“Our basketball IQ is very high, and we take that very seriously, we know what best suits our team and our coaching staff does as well.
“KNUST are probably going to be the difficult team to beat. But we have so much talents that can beat any team if we bring our A-game to bear.
He went further: We are the primary focus of every team but that kind of challenge excites us and we’re ready to ball.
Accra Poly join Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi Polytechnic, Takoradi Polytechnic, University of Professional Studies and University of Cape Coast in the final expected to place from April 23-25 at the University of Ghana centre court.
