Tony-Parker-Spurs-300The San Antonio Spurs only needed to play an uptempo game in the first three quarters to seal a comprehensive 130-91 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday morning.

It was the first Spurs win of the season over Oklahoma City.

As a result of the win, the San Antonio ended the Thunder (41-31) four-game winning streak.

It was also a playoff-like rhythm game for San Antonio (45-26) who bounced back from a 101-94 loss to Dallas on Wednesday.

The Spurs scored 71 points in the first half, the most the Thunder have allowed in any half.

Midway through the third quarter, the reigning champions led by as many 30 points, forcing Thunder coach Scott Brooks to sit out MVP candidate Russell Westbrook for the rest of the game.

Westbrook started off well with 15 points before the break, but added only another point to finish with 16 points and a game-high seven assists in 25.52 minutes on the basketball court, well below his 33.9 minutes per game this season.

Tony Parker led the way for the the Spurs, leading all scorers with 21 points, while Turkish big man Enes Kanter had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Thunder, who shot 40 percent from the field, compared to 58 percent for the Spurs.
