Pentecost University captain Eugene Antwi says they have learnt their lessons as they head into the qualifiers for the 2015 UPAC Basketball Championship.
The Sowutuom-based side are sizing up their chances after losing against Ghana Technology University College during the warm-up game last Saturday.
They are seen as the outsiders to qualify from the group which comprises of University of Professional Studies (UPSA), Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and Ho Polytechnic.
They open their campaign against host UPSA before playing GIMPA and Ho Polytechnic and team captain Eugene Antwi says they have learnt their lessons from the warm-up game.
He says their defeat has served as a lesson to them as they head into the championship proper.
“We are ready and trimming the rough edges ahead of the championship,” he told Basketballghana.com
“I believe we have learnt our lessons the hard way. We played well against Ghana Technology but made few mistakes in that game.
“But we have corrected our mistakes and ready to ball. We don’t fear any of the teams. We just respect them.
He added: It’s going to be a battle of wits and mind and Pentecost will rise up to the occasion.”
The battle lines have been drawn with massive tough talk ahead of what is expected to be a taciturn affair.”
