Ho Poly rising star Joseph Alem Butias has fired a strong warning to their group opponents ahead of the qualifiers for the 2015 UPAC Basketball Championship this weekend.

The Greater Accra group A opponents which features host University of Professional Studies (UPSA), Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and Pentecost University will go down at the UPSA court on Saturday March 14.

The group games promises to be intriguing and mouth-watering with key architect expected to showcase their immense talents.

The level of interest shown by players of the institution has picked up following the construction of two modern court to replace the dilapidated structure.

Alem Butias, a former captain of Keta Senior High, is relishing his team’s chances of upstaging the odds.

He has sent a strong warning to the other group opponents to be wary of his team.

“This is a warning to the other teams. You underrate Ho Poly at your own peril,” he told BASKETBALLghana.com

“We are a team in progress and working towards the big day. We don’t fear any team.

“For us this is an opportunity to tell our story to the rest of the world. We have a good team with few experienced hands.

“Of course we respect GIMPA, UPSA and Pentecost but we want to win the ultimate and the only way to do that is to win the group. That’s where the focus is.”

Ho Poly will open their campaign with a difficult tie against fast-improving GIMPA before clashing with Pentecost University College and University of Professional Studies.
