Brimah-11

CEPS coach Brimah Lawah expects a positive approach from his troops ahead of their title defense in the West Africa eight-club tournament in Benin.

Braves are expected to jet off to Cotonou on Tuesday February 24 ahead of the start of the championship.

The record Ghanaian league holders will be defending the trophy they won last year where they swept majority of the individual awards.

There are no injury concerns for the side ahead of the hugely anticipated tournament with enthusiasm building up to the highest level.

Star man Baniba Dodzie alongside other big players including Daniel Aryee, Jeffery Dzimartey and Hashim Brimah amongst others will pulley the flag of Ghana high.

Experienced coach Brimah Lawah has his work cut out for him and expects his players to remain calm and focus to retain their crown.

“We have been training for the past few weeks and fining-tune. So far it’s been intense and engaging and we hope to do well,” he told the Fast Break show which will be aired on TV this Sunday

“The boys will have to remain focused because the title defense won’t come cheap.

“The dynamics have changed and we cannot afford to get complacent. I believe in my boys and I know they will go out there and make themselves and the nation proud.

The three-day event will attract champions from Togo, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Niger, Liberia and host Benin.
