Impressive shooting guard Richard Borsah does not expects CEPS’ titled defence at the West Africa eight-club competition to be a stroll in the park.
The ambitious Ghanaian side travel to Benin in the next couple of weeks to start the defend of the title they won last year.
CEPS, undoubtedly the most successful club in Ghana silenced their critics when they conquered their opponent in the West African sub-region to clinch the title.
The basketball team of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) are bent on retaining the title and hugely considered as the favourites.
But the highly affable and ever-smiling shooting guard Richard Borsah expects opponents to be tough.
“It’s not going to be an easy ride for us and we must be cautious,” he told TV3’s Fast Break
“We have to go there and believe we can win the title again. We have done it before and can do it again.
“But then again it boils down to eschewing complacency and bringing our A-game on board.
“We are a united team, receiving massive support from officials and so should go out there and try to defend the trophy.
He added: It’s not going to be easy but we’ll do our outmost best to lift the flag of Ghana high again.
“It’s a battlefield but we shall fight till the end.”
