Ghana Secondary Technical School won the tickets to El-Wak while the Green Team pulled the magic off White Team to win the All-Star Game during the 2014 Sprite Xpressions.

07:30 – Players of Labone Senior High have arrived to take part in the wild card competition which features other schools like Eastern Regional-based Akwamuman, Ghana Secondary Technical School and Accra High
07:45 – Scores of fans are beginning to troop in to take their seat
08:00 – Players of Takoradi-based Ghana Secondary Technical School and Accra High arrive simultaneously and going through formalities at the gate.
08: 35 – Players of Ghana Secondary Technical School finally touch base to complete the quartet who will contest for the wild card spot.
09:30 – Music is well underway to entertain the few numbers who have arrived early for the event.
10:00 – Security is tight at the Aviation Social Centre to ensure fans and participants are safe from hoodlums.
10:30 – Some Members of the All-Star Game are trooping with Cape Coast-based duo Anthony Duodu (Kings College) and Benjamin Sagoe first to arrive.
11:30 – The first game in the wild card contest is underway with Accra High slugging it out with Labone.
11:50 – Famous and controversial coach Emmanuel Quaye (rubberman) has touched base and greeted with tumultuous response from the MC (Patrick Akoto)
12:15 – Accra High have taken a commanding 38-18 lead against Labone in the final quarter
12:20- Accra High have managed an impressive 49-21 win over city rivals Labone to advance to the finals.
12:30 – Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) are up against Akwamuman. Both teams are being inspected by the match official. Jump ball in a moment.
12:50 – The game between the two sides is producing some thrills, Akwamuman strong defensively but low scores so far. Akwamuman 11-6 GSTS.
13:20 – The biggest game so far, both Akwamuman and GSTS are thrilling the crowd with end-to-end action, close contest, little time to play for.
13:20 – GSTS have rallied from behind with some roller coaster display to take a 10-point lead. GSTS 30-20 Akwamuman. Game on at Aviation.
13:30- GSTS have beaten Akwamuman 32-24 to set up a final date against Accra High for a place in the finals.
13:31 – GSTS were the better side with assumed possession and deadly attacking instincts. They take on Accra High in that crucial tie.
13:40 – The teams take 30-minute break for the final.
14:30- The final game underway between GSTS and Accra High amid huge expectations as they jostle for a place in the final.
14: 50 – Accra High in a narrow lead at the moment, 17-16 to end the first half. Very close and engaging game. Both benches in apprehension mood.
14:30 – Ghana Secondary and Technical School have secured qualification to the finals after beating Accra High 45-42 in a close contest. It been long in coming but the giants of the West have ensured their consistent appearances are not curtailed. Sweet way to make entry into the competition.
For Accra High, it was too little too late as they struggled. But they should blame themselves for allowing their opponent to claw their way back after taken the lead.
The atmosphere has been charged with players and officials of GSTS hugging each other for a well executed task accomplished.
16:00 – The hugely anticipated All-Star Game about to start with the Green and White Team ready to entertain the numbers.
16:30 – Chairman of the Greater Accra Basketball Association Benjamin Baafi exchange pleasantries with the All-Star team.
16:45 – Its turning out to be a real All-Star game with series of exciting skills dominating the game here at Aviation. Anthony Duodu is winning fans over with his sleak and sublime fakes, Kwame Boamah getting ahead of himself on a number of occasions, good effort from Farahat Aliu Tamimu.
17:00 – The game is burning many out with end-to-end dunks. Maxwell Mod in the Green Team, equal response from Ekow Amoako in White Team. Great show, incredible atmosphere.
17:20 – Game over. Green All-Star Team beat White All-Star Team 54-48.
The games are over and now time for the search for the Best High School Rapper in Ghana.
