Ex-Ghana Secondary and Technical School Sydney Larbie expects fireworks during the 2014 All-Star Game today (Wednesday).

The current Central University College point guard will lead the Green Team during the hugely anticipated clash against the White Team at the Aviation Social Centre.

It’s winding down to one of the biggest date in the basketball calendar with many fans expected to troop to the venue to catch a glimpse of the country’s talents on shore.

Larbie is in good company as he will play alongside other experienced stars including Aaron Dinku (Achimota), Maxwello Mod (Mfantsipim), Martin Oduro (Koforidua Secondary Technical School) and McMartey Lawer (Accra Academy).

Other established players such as Junior Awuletey (Pope John), Francis Nii Lamptey (St Peters), John Tei-Okumoh (Ketasco), Emmanuel Wolff (KSTS), Edem Quist (Mfantsipim), Benjamin Sagoe (Aggrey Memorial) and Afia Kobi Yeboah Agyeman (Oda Senior High) will be deeply involved in the action.

The youngster says his colleagues are primed for the battle against the White Team.

“We are ready and it’s going to be an explosive contest at Aviation,” he said on TV3’s Fast Break

“Many of the players have improved tremendously and we hope to give the fans something to cheer about.

“They should expect more dunks and skills from us. The Sprite Ball platform has really helped us and we hope to make the fans happy.

“Last year was awesome but I believe the inclusion of other players will spice up the occasion,”

The White and Green Team will go at each at the Aviation Social Centre during the 2014 Sprite Xpressions.
