Basketball is gaining massive root in Ghana with the only show dedicated to basketball ‘Fast Break’ turning out to be great hit.

Fast Break is a three-hour show aired on one of Ghana’s top television stations TV3 every Sunday from 9am-12 noon.

It is hosted by one of the finest TV personalities in the West African country, Yaw Sakyi Afari, who has brought so much knowledge and expertise to bear on the show making a must watch one for lovers and non-lovers of the game.

His intriguing, intelligent and humorous posture has made it a standout and now competing keenly with other sports shows in Ghana.

A very young, affable entrepreneur, Mr. Afari continue to engage his seasoned panelists on engaging topics that continue to attract rave reviews in the social media.

Viewers are now attending first service I church so they can catch the live train as early as 9am.

The show has brought the best out of regular panelist Kofi Asante, Ferrami Olulonyo, Sandy Asiedu, Jake Morrison and McMartey Lawer.

Asante has shown beyond all reasonable doubt that he is a master of the game and a class act. His understanding and appreciation of statistics makes him the toast of viewers.

More can be said about Ferrami’s deep-seated knowledge of the game. The player cum coach has demonstrated over the last couple of weeks that he understands and appreciates what goes into the game. His analysis of the NBA teams, players and officials makes him the ‘darling’ of the game.

Sandy has exhibited knowledge when it comes to the NBA and local component of the game. His sheer brilliance and analysis of trends makes him one of the finest in the country.

A young promising McMartey has left an indelible mark in the minds of viewers with his crisp, knowledgeable analysis.

There have been other guest who have made the show thick, creating massive interest among lovers of the game and beyond.

Fast Break is the ONLY TV show in Africa dedicated to the game of basketball and continues to earn rave reviews.

The next couple of weeks and months will prove crucial for the host and his well endowed panelist as they journey viewers through the fastest growing sports in Ghana.

It’s no fluke that basketball is certified as the country’s second most preferred sports, just lagging behind football.
