Ghana’s Under-18 team continued their impressive run in the 2014 Afro basketball qualifiers with a resounding 84-43 win over Burkina Faso on Tuesday.
The qualifying round, which is being played in Benin, saw the Ghanaians dominate from the blast of the whistle and never looked back with some aggressive and purposeful play.
Playing one of their best games so far, the young-looking side dismantled their West African opponent and now put themselves in pool position to qualify to the African Championship which is scheduled to take place in August this year.
The phenomenal display from the Ghanaians comes on the heels of their close 64-63 win over host Benin in their opening encounter.
The aggressive-looking side will take a rest on Wednesday ahead of their return fixture against Burkina Faso on Friday.
They will set-up a final meeting against host Benin in their last game and if results go their way, they will qualify for the finals scheduled to take place in Madagascar.
