Ex-Black Stars captain Joe Addo says he could consider coaching a basketball team in Ghana.
Addo, 42, is a keen follower of the NBA having lived in the United States of America for more than a decade.
In reacting to a question on Fast Break on TV3 last Sunday, the former Hearts of Oak strong centre-back, who was a guest on the show, said he could consider venturing into basketball coaching in the West African country.
“I haven’t really thought about it but it could be a possibility,” he said
“I played basketball during my college days in America and so have been a key follower of the game.
“There opportunity abounds and it will be exciting to give it a try. Who knows?
“You can never say never in such matters. It’s something that will interest me a lot.”
Addo went to the United States to attend college and play soccer at George Mason University where he was a 1992 First Team All American.
On the club level, Addo played for Cagliari (Italy), VfB Stuttgart and FSV Frankfurt (Germany), Sparta Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Belenenses (Portugal), Ethnikos Piraeus (Greece), Tampa Bay Mutiny, MetroStars (United States) and Kitchee (Hong Kong).
