The San Antonio Spurs extended their winning streak to fifteen games after a 108-103 home victory over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday.
Tim Duncan led all scorers with 29 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out five assists for San Antonio, who tied their second-longest streak, set in March 1996.
Danny Green scored 16 points, Tiago Splitter, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili contributed 10 points apiece for San Antonio (55-16), which maintained the best record in the league this season.
Elsewhere, Al Jefferson had a magnificent performance by leading the Charlotte Bobcats to a 116-111 overtime victory over the Brooklyn Nets.
Jefferson poured in 35 points, had a game-high 15 rebounds as Charlotte improved their record to 35-37, and continued in seventh place of the Eastern Conference.
The sixth seed team in the East, the Washington Wizards allowed their fourth defeat in the past five games, after losing 99-93 to the Phoenix Suns, which increased their winning streak to five games.
