Aggrey Memorial point guard Matilda Gordon is thrilled to have finally helped her school to clinch the 2013 Sprite Ball title.
The 6ft player has earned massive reviews after her performances propelled Aggrey to clinch their first title in four attempts.
The Cape Coast-based side had missed out on the finals on two previous occasions, leaving them in dire need of ending the hoodoo.
Gordon put up a swash-buckling performance and ended up being named as the Most Valuable Player after churning out masterstroke display at the Aviation Social Centre.
The youngster has revealed her happiness after ending their long wait-for a crown.
“We were very determined to win this game and I’m happy we have been able to win it,” Gordon said
“We have come close on two occasions and we thought the time to win it was now and thank God we have been able to achieve that feat.
“I have no doubt in my mind that we’ll dominate this competition for the next few years.”
