Shama Senior High are the latest sensation in town with incredible performances in the 2013 Sprite Ball Championship.
The Western Regional-based school have recorded wins over Akosombo International School and St Mary’s to put them on course to cause an upset in this year’s competition.
Shama have shown strength and depth in quality coupled with determination and team spirit, character and chemistry to silence the bookmakers.
They were not rated among the side’s capable of winning the ultimate, but their performances have left the bookmakers to rewrite their notes.
Fans have been made to take notice of the displays from the little girls from the ‘oil city’.
Their final group game would be against Sacred Heart, meaning victory over the capital-based side would complete an incredible 100% record in group A.
Heart themselves are in a tricky situation having lost their opening game against Akosombo International School.
But they bounced back in style to beat neighbours St Mary’s in their second group game.
