Ghana rallied back to wade off the challenge posed by Liberia in the first quarter (10-14) to take a 9 point lead going into the break with a 22-09 points win in the second quarter of the Afrobasket U18 Zone-3 qualifiers holding in Abidjan Cote dIvoire.

The Ghanaian return from they left off in the second to pick the third quarter by 13-04 points taking a huge 18 points lead going into the last quarter, though they lost the fourth to the Liberian by 10-16 points but that could still not stop them from picking the valuable points winning their first game by 55-43 points as they file out against Nigeria today (Tuesday).

Ghana Stephen Foster led the Ghanaian side with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, while his teammate Tunde El Alawa added 12 points with Abubakari Suleman grabbing 10 rebounds.
