Charles Annan showed little regard for anything other than himself and demonstrated Armed Forces are ready to splash another riveting performance in 2010 after helping his side clinch their first ever Greater Accra regional Sprite Ball Championship last week Thursday.
Despite been the current National Sprite Ball Champions, they’ve struggled for laurels at the regional level and it took them close to five years before they finally laid their hands on the glittering trophy.
And what a time to add another title in their trophy cabinet – two at the moment and they’ve sworn to increase the number to three by the close of the year.
They go into the defence of the title they won last year buoyed by their feat at the El-Wak stadium where victories over Our Lady of Mercy, Holy Trinity Cathedral (Hotcass), and Labone ensured they cruised to success.
He got some respect from high-flying peers after his near monster dunk. One of the great pleasures of this young man at the recently concluded championship in Ghana’s capital has been to terrorize opposing team with his jaw -dropping athleticism. He was such an amazing prospect coming out of Burma camp.
He eats faces around the rim:
With most other players, this moment would just be nice. But when one of the most athletic big boy in championship history decides to credit his stylistic doppelganger, it’s historic, not just pleasant.
Remember this moment for as long as you can. Charles and his peers Pius and Frank are fantastic talent made for the future in the West African country.
And they’ll be primed for the grand finale at the same venue on December 22-23rd. Make a date
