The action is getting thrilling and mind-blowing at the main basketball court of the Sunyani Senior High school as boys teams continue to dazzle spectators with sublime piece of skills and amazing talent in the 2010 Sprite Ball Championship.
St James has just produced an eye-catching display to beat Presbyterian School, Berekum 21-4. Buoyed by the presence of power forward Peter Annan, the young players from Abesim showcased pure genius and power play to kill off the challenge of their opponent who looked liked mere passengers in the game showing a disjointed display on the court.
Meanwhile Twene Amanfo Technical/ Secondary posted a heavy 19-6 victory over Techiman Senior high in their first game. They showed they will be a force to reckon with as they battle their way into the knockout phase.
Also Techiman Senior high has just beaten Wenchi 13-11 in another end to end action to send the venue agog. Displaying team spirit and character the Techiman –based school were physically and mentally superior on the day putting up a come –from –behind-display to win by a whisker of a basket on the stroke of the buzzer.
Dorma Senior high is the latest side to win their final group match beating Presec, Berekum 15-2. Host Susec is expected to tackle Twene Amanfo Technical/ Secondary in their final group game later in the day.
