High flying Kaneshie beat debutant Teshie-Nungua 52-34 to set up a date with host Legon in the grand finale of seson-2 of Community Dunks at the ultra modern court of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Thursday.

Power forward Francis Nii Lamptey was in an inspiring form for Kaneshie who dictated pace from start to finish in a thrilling contest. For a minute the new comers looked disjointed at a point in the third quarter given their opponent the advantage in rolling at them with full power and force.

Star player for Teshie-Nungua and arguably the man in the reckoning to be named as the MVP of the championships Awudu Josiah Rasheed was probably relied too much upon to shoot the side into success. He has most of his rebounds wrong and his surging run on offensive was met with some amazing blocks from the defensive network of Coach Sam Tagoe’s side.

In plain truth, Kaneshie were awesome and if they performance against the giant killers is anything to go by, then we’re in for a big cliff hanger at the University of Ghana main basketball court on Saturday.
