Coach of Dansoman Ferrani Olunloyo is tipping Ridge to be the team to beat at this year’s Community Dunks.
Ferrani whose side will not be part of this year’s edition is convinced his counterpart number has young and enterprising players who are hungry for success and that according to him will prove the catalyst for their success.
Ridge were bridesmaid in last season’s competition and will be keen to go a step further this time around.
Coach Braimah Lawah who has majority of players who played in the maiden edition available for selection are paired in pool B alongside Kaneshie, Legon and James Town and the young coach has tipped Ridge to unseat Cantonment.
‘I think Ridge can win the championship. They have most of their players who placed second last year available and that is good for team building’. Olunloyo said
‘I expect season -2 to be keenly contested and an improvement of last years and if I take a look at all the eight teams that will be participating, I’m tempted to believe Ridge can be the side to take the title from Cantonment’.
Community Dunks 2010 is an initiate of Rite Multimedia with support from Indomie Noodles and begins from Saturday September 11, 2010 (and every other Saturday from 3-8pm) at the University of Ghana basketball court.
