The much-awaited season 2 of an U-18 basketball competition amongst selected communities in the Greater Accra region dubbed (Community Dunks) finally rolls out from September 12th – October 3 at the El-Wak stadium.
The 2010 edition of the Community Dunks would be played among eight (selected) communities as they battle for supremacy and determine which community has the best young ballers.
Organisers say the competition will be played on Sundays from 1-6pm in the nation’s capital Accra.
Cantonment clinched the title in the maiden edition at the same venue on September 4, 2009 but will face some solid opposition this time around.
Ten communities including Ridge, Dansoman, Sakumono, Dansoman, Tema, Nima, Ashaiman, James Town and Kaneshie took part in the maiden edition last year.
Thousands of crazy basketball fans would once again be presented with another opportunity to witness a spectacular and exciting four weeks of basketball games.
Community Dunks is an initiative of Rite Multimedia and sponsored by Indomie with support from Metro TV.
