CEPS ladies and Police meet in the finals of the 2010 edition of the Thome Cabalan Championship at the Lebanon court on Friday afternoon.

The two sides have been impressive en route to the finals and Friday’s meeting will cap and incredible feat by both sides.

The defending champions beat Reformers, Magic Turbo Jets in the group stages before victory over CYO in the semi-finals helped them to book their place in the grand finale.

CEPS also triumphed over Holy Family and Turbo Jets to set a date with their nemesis.

It will be a game of revenge or maintaining dominance for both teams following their clash in the series.

Police beat CEPS on the final day of competition to win the Greater Accra series and therefore go into Friday’s game with so much hope.

But Police would have other ideas this time around and as point guard Veronica Deh reckons character and determination will be the overriding factors in the game.

‘We know how difficult it will be for us but we’re determined to go a step further and make history against Police on Friday’ she told basketballghana.com.

‘We are going to approach Friday game with all what we’ve got and we believe it will be for the books. We respect them but we’re not afraid of them despite losing to them in the league. The court will do the talking for us’ she added
