C.Y.O ladies were among the winners on the rescheduled Thome Cabalan Championship played at the Lebanon court last Thursday morning.
The match had to be delayed due to a heavy downpour on Wednesday at the same venue. The Adabraka based side showed tremendous character and team work to kill off the challenge of their opponent, triumphing 38-32.
Taking instructions from veteran coach Mathias Ocloo, the young ladies of CYO put up a last surge in the final quarter to record a famous victory over Holy Family.
It was the first meeting between the two sides weeks after the series (league) ended.
It was shocking to see CYO who didn’t fare too well in the series come back so strongly and coach Ocloo could afford a smile following his side’s feat against his opposite number this time around.
