The relegation dog fight will dominate the headlines in the series this weekend with Turbo Jets and Lions eager to rewrite the wrong.

The Lebanon House and Prison’s court will be buzzing with some scintillating and swash buckling displays from the teams on Friday and Saturday as the 13 week fixtures are rolled out.

The teams are about ready to go as Hoops and Tema Youth clash in the opening match on Saturday. This match could best be described as the top of the bill clash because both teams have being impressive in the ongoing series.

It is a matchup between the second and third placed team and that has put massive emphasis on the cliff hanger.

The Cape Coast based side has lost their guard once in the league while Tema Youth have been beaten three times on the road.

Custom Excise and Preventive Services may be the league’s favourites, but Hoops are expected to challenge them and could deny the champions the opportunity to complete an incredible grand slam following their triumph for the past nine years in the top flight.

With CEPS’s comprehensive victory over CYO on Wednesday, the pressure will be on both sides to win so they keep the hot chase on the run away leaders.

Lions and Police will also clash in the second game on Saturday at the same venue while Tudu based Magic will conclude the day’s fixtures with a huge game against Panthers.

But before Saturday’s games, the attention will shift to the Lebanon house in Tudu where relegation threatened Turbo Jets will need some sort of inspiration to tackle Reformers.

Jets have lost 11 times and won once in the ongoing series – underlying their poor form in the league. They look like serious candidates for relegation and will need to get out of their shelve if they are to avoid the drop.

The final game on Friday will see fourth placed team Warriors battle Holy Family in another epic encounter.

With few games to spare in the top flight, the boys are beginning to separates from the men as it gradually reaches home stretch.
