There are two key match up in the week 6 of this season’s Greater Accra Basketball League on Friday afternoon.

Customs Exercise and Preventive Services (CEPS) are against Magic at the Prisons Court, Cantonment, while Panthers take on Lions in another grueling encounter.

This season’s campaign in the country’s longest surviving league has produced some fireworks and awe-inspiring performances from the 14 teams who are jostling each other on weekly basis for the ultimate title.

Currently placed second on the league table, CEPS, remains one of the two sides who are yet to lose a game after five rounds of matches this season.

Both CEPS and Magic are meeting  for the first time this season and that promises to be highly uncompromising.

The odd seems to stark  against Magic who finds themselves in the middle of the table after losing grounds on two occasions. CEPS could topple leaders Tema Youth at least for a day if they manage to negotiate their tie against their opponent.

The crunch game will be preceded by the first game on the day involving Panthers and Lions at the same venue.

Panthers come face to face against a side which has shown so much frailty in defense. Lions have lost all their previous five matches and lie at a parlous 13th position on the league table despite playing a game less – while their compatriots Panthers have lost four times and won twice. It will certainly set up for a great encounter as Lions chase for their first win of the season.

The action swings to the Lebanon House at Tudu, on Saturday where impressive Hoops battle Reformers in the early jump ball at 14hrs GMT (2p local time), Tema Youth takes on Holy Family an hour later while Warriors and Fire completes the day’s round of matches at 16 hrs GMT (4pm local time).
